Illuminated floor globe made of crystal glass, Ø 40 cm, mouth-blown, hand-coated, mounting wood and stainless steel.
The manufacturing of these models from mouth-blown crystal glass spheres is characterized by great craftsmanship. They are masterpieces of the traditional globe production and during their fabrication, nothing is left to chance. With a unique globe in mind, the artists work manually and with the highest precision. Here, the production speed is of lesser importance - after all, the goal is to create a true masterpiece. The production of a mouth-blown sphere is a real challenge, which only a few artists around the world rise to. Therefore, it can take several days until, with much skill and passion, the materials are combined into a cartographical and optical masterpiece.
Sometimes, changing colors helps to stand out. That is precisely what the DUO ALBA's white oceans do: Offer an eye-catcher for every interior. The subtly cool map emphasizes the arrangement of one-third of land and two-thirds of water on our planet in a completely new way. When illuminated, the globe changes its character: The oceans shine in classical blue, the landmasses in a green relief shading with mountains and valleys. A globe for a daily change of perspective. Honored as the trend product of the year at the Paperworld Frankfurt 2010.
The steadfast detail: A globe needs firm support to develop its full appeal. With the Imperator base design, the floor model rests on a fine wood base made of wenge with a stainless steel application and rotates in a round stainless steel meridian.
